Founded in 1990 by Hj. Romlah Dungtjik and H. Dungtjik Rohim, Tujuh Saudara Songket has been at the forefront of preserving and innovating Palembang’s rich textile heritage. Over the decades, the brand has grown into a symbol of craftsmanship and cultural pride, earning numerous national recognitions—including the prestigious Upakarti Award for its outstanding contribution to Indonesia’s creative economy.
In January 2022 , Tujuh Saudara is led by the next generation: Jamilah Komalasari, alongside her husband Ongky Prafito. Together, they bring a contemporary vision to the legacy, fusing tradition with refined luxury through their signature label, JAMILAHxPRAFITO. As active members of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC), dan IKRA – Bank Indonesia, the duo continues to elevate Palembang’s traditional wastra, reimagining it with the elegance of high fashion.
